Treatment part 1 of 2

Overview

Helping people heal and maintain optimal health naturally is what practitioners at the Centre for Integrative Medicine work vigorously to achieve through a wide variety of traditional, progressive, diagnostic and therapeutic services. Our patient centered approach, as opposed to disease specific, works by exploring all aspects of the individual, from biochemical and physiological to psychological and environmental. We help our patients resolve their most difficult health challenges by ‘digging’ deep for details to expose the root cause or causes of ill health, rather than merely suppressing or eliminating symptoms. Only after completing a thorough, in-depth medical assessment can we confidently identify, closely examine and effectively correct the core disturbances or imbalances.

The process of assessing a patient’s health status often involves a broad spectrum of innovative and highly specialized diagnostic tools, which allow detailed exploration of the body’s inner environment. Dark field microscopy, computerized regulation thermography, biological terrain assessment, heart rate variability monitoring, and electro-dermal screening are just some of the many available tools we use that enable us to find blockages, determine toxicity and develop an understanding of the core disturbances. Based on our diagnostic results, we may prescribe one or more natural remedies, which include herbal and botanical formulas, homeopathic remedies, biological agents and various vitamin and mineral supplements. An additional component to an individual’s treatment program may include such therapies as chiropractic, physical therapy, psychotherapy, acupuncture, bioresonance work, hyperthermia, among others. The underlying motivation behind any treatment program is to revive the body’s own naturally gifted ability to heal itself.
